During this webinar we will present a real-life application of an IoT landslide early warning system. The system has been designed, installed, and tested by Geosolving, in collaboration with Winet, using the LoRa Development Kit by HDM Group, which is based on Move-X MAMWLE module.

This innovative monitoring and Early Warning System (EWS), called geoAndes, aims at mitigating the risks related to the occurrence of debris flows and snow avalanches along a road in North-western Italian Alps. In order to do that, the red light turns on in case of breakage of the tear-off sensor caused by a landslide. The whole monitoring system, including webcams and operating modes, can be managed, and set up remotely.

Instead of being at the mercy of Nature, IoT technology helps us better adapt to it.
